Creative communications group, Beattie, has merged with British Columbia based Tartan Group to create Beattie Tartan in Canada.
Tartan Group is a top west coast boutique agency with a 16-year track record that works with signature clients including Destination Canada, Jordan Tourism Board, Aboriginal Tourism Association of Canada, the Adventure Travel Trade Association and University of Victoria’s Gustavson School of Business.
With Canadian billings of $2.5 million and a team of 12 PR, digital, social and creative specialists, the Canadian company will have offices in Toronto, Calgary, Victoria and Vancouver.
Laurna Woods, Beattie Group CEO, commented that Canada will be the springboard for the company’s global growth as it is a forward-thinking country that is stable and diverse.
The thriving businesses and people in Canada are the type of clients and talent that Beattie wants to attract and the company is already planning a major recruitment drive for top digital, PR and social talent across the country. They are particularly looking for expansion in Toronto and Vancouver to build on Canada’s strong economy.
The newly formed Beattie Tartan will roll out its integrated communications formula and digital expertise across the country and is already speaking to companies excited by digital-led communications. The combined group will be chaired by Beattie Group chairman, Kevin Roberts, the former global CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi and former President and CEO of Pepsi Cola Canada.
