The Leeds Digital Festival 2017, running 22 to 29 April, has launched with 80 events already scheduled for the week long festival.
The Leeds Digital Festival is a city-wide, open platform celebration of all things digital within Leeds. In 2016 it featured 56 events, with over 175 speakers and over 6,000 attendees.
Highlights of the 2017 calendar include
- FinTech North conference
- Northern UX conference,
- Code in the Dark coding competition
- Algorave – a tech/music mashup
The festival, whose major sponsors are Sky Betting and Gaming, NHS Digital and Leeds City Council, will feature a number of well known speakers including the Northern Powerhouse Minister Andrew Percy MP, Marcus East, the Global Digital Director of Marks & Spencer, and Col Needham, the CEO and founder of IMDB, one of the world’s most successful websites. Amazon and Google are also running events, alongside dozens of home grown firms.
