Leeds Digital Job Fair 2.0, which will take place at the First Direct Arena on 20 October 2016, has been officially launched and will be welcoming back some of the biggest business names in the city.
The fair, which is being held as part of Leeds Business Week, will bring together talent across the digital spectrum to one place – showcasing hundreds of new jobs graduate schemes and apprenticeships to graduates as well as tech professionals seeking a new career challenge.
The upcoming event is expected to be larger than the inaugural event in February 2016, which attracted more than 1,300 attendees and 35 digital and tech companies including Google, William Hill, Callcredit, Sky Betting & Gaming, Provident Financial, Sky and Lhasa Limited.
The fair is again being organised by online jobs board Herd with support from Leeds City Council, Leeds Beckett University, Leeds BID, First Direct Arena and Tech North.
Herd founder Amy De-Balsi said “More than 70,000 people are now employed in the digital sector across Leeds city region, but with this number growing all the time, firms are finding it increasingly challenging to fill the hundreds of new vacancies being created.”
