Skybet have raised £3,000 for Leeds based children’s cancer charity Give a Duck, by employees who cycled 100 miles as part of a 65-strong team of cyclists who completed the annual challenge in aid of the charity.
In its third year, the challenge attracted Sky Betting & Gaming employees and their friends and family to complete the 100mile route. Starting at Wetherby racecourse the route took the cyclists through Easingwold, AmpleForth, Little Sessay, Braferton, Boroughbridge, Burton Leonard, Ripon and Knaresborough.
Give a Duck aims to ensure that every child living with cancer in the UK is given access to a specially designed Chemo Duck to help alleviate anxiety. The charity also teaches children what to expect when they start their cancer-fighting treatment.
Employees at Sky Betting & Gaming have a packed schedule of fundraising activities to reach their £20,000 fundraising target.
The Give a Duck Founder, Andrew Phillips, is ‘stunned’ by the efforts of Sky Betting & Gaming’s employees to support the charity which has been operating just short of two years. Sky Betting & Gaming became the charity’s first official corporate partner at the start of the year.
