Sky Betting & Gaming has extended its Sheffield presence by agreeing a new five-year lease on £13,862 sq ft at the Electric Works in Sheffield.
The new agreement will create capacity for 160 people, covering the whole of the first floor of the Electric Works and is the third time that the company has extended its premises in Sheffield.
The company’s Sheffield digital hub is home to the teams that design and build the platforms and technology behind its international products which include Sky Bet Italia and where the company also develops critical components of the UK-facing product stack..
Director of International Technology, Simon Ince, commented that Sky Betting & Gaming initially looked to Sheffield to help meet the company’s talent needs to build a diverse and highly skilled workforce and this latest investment proves the success of its growth plans. The main reasons for staying with The Electric Works are the keen pricing, proximity to rail, bus and parking and to continue to build on existing investment in infrastructure.
