You can connect directly to your Sky+HD box in-home to browse all content, set downloads and recordings and manage your planner. You can also set downloads, recordings and series links when you’re out and about so you never miss a thing.

The Sky News app is first for breaking news – Receive notifications of breaking news, Watch Sky News live from anywhere in the UK, View all the latest Top Stories or browse content by section, Read in-depth content written by Sky News correspondents, View the very best Sky News videos over WiFi and mobile network
Sky Sports App
With the Sky Sports app you can stay up to speed with all the action from the major sporting events as they happen. Whether it’s the latest news and video, live scores, fixtures and results, or tables and standings – get up to the minute updates on all your favourite sports and teams.
Sky Cinema App
Sky Cinema subscribers can watch more than 1000 movies on the go on the Sky Cinema App, Keep a record of movies you want to watch with your own personal shortlist and, for Sky TV customers, remote record some of those that are on the Sky Cinema channels. If you are a Sky Cinema customer, with a Sky iD or My Virgin Media Username, you can watch all available movies directly on your device, at no extra cost.

Sky Service app
The Sky Service App is the first stop for managing your Sky account and finding help with your TV, broadband & phone services. And if you can’t sort it yourself, you can be routed you through to a dedicated team of Sky experts.
Their teams in Leeds deliver the customers’ online experience, including how they manage their Sky account on their desktop or mobile internet browser. They’re also responsible for supporting Sky’s eCommerce platform, using the latest technologies to allow customers to easily purchase products.
The technology platform for the Sky Kids on demand app was created in Leeds in conjunction with ustwo, the digital product studio behind hit mobile game Monument Valley – winner of Apple’s 2014 Design Award, iPad game of the year and two BAFTAs.
Research shows that growing numbers of children are watching TV on mobile devices with 80% having access to a tablet at home. Now Sky TV families can access over 4,000 episodes of the most watched kids shows on demand, including Disney Jr, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, with the benefit of age-appropriate filtering –which was a key priority during the development process.
In Leeds they run an active Sky Academy programme which opens up Sky to young people, offering work experience and employment opportunities and helping them prepare for the world of work.
Sky offers accredited, permanent positions for school and university leavers on one to three-year paid graduate programmes and apprenticeships. Paid work placements put young people into the workplace for up to 11 months, while a structured work experience programme offers the chance to explore the range of career opportunities available at Sky.
